Additionally, students will be exposed to medical microbiology and epidemiology as it pertains to common infectious organisms in each organ system. In the first half of this course, students will learn how and when to track and report illness, vaccination protocols, basic disaster preparedness, infection control, global health initiatives, and response to outbreaks.
